Buy tickets online as a discount is available.
Took my 3 year old grandson and he thoroughly enjoyed the animals but less so the dinosaurs , perhaps a little too lifelike for him with the sound effects though other children seemed more than happy!
Lunch in the restaurant was disappointing , the driest chicken I’ve ever been served anywhere as was the burger meat . I should have complained at the time but honestly if you’re going to batch cook the meat at least get rid of it if it’s sat there for a long time as I suspect my order had .
That said , I would visit again but not the dinosaur restaurant .

I can never understand why there's always an extra charge for the train, just include it in the gate price!
Also you will sell a lot more food and drink if the prices are reasonable, £2.49 for a tea? £2.99 for a coke !
Food was expensive aswell, tables not clean, bins full and never any sugar replenished, when you pay this sort of money you at least expect clean areas to eat.
Definitely take your own food and drink, zoo was good, paddling pool looked good and dinosaur area was good as well, just that attraction way of ripping you off with the extras and food and drink

It was well worth the three and a half hour drive down the old Roman Road, which frankly needs updating, but that's nothing to do with this review.
We had a wonderful visit. The kids were so excited and we're not disappointed. The facilities for baby change and toilets were in excellent condition. All the staff were very pleasant many going out of their way to be extra friendly. We were very lucky to see all the animals. We loved watching the tiger eating.
The play areas were an added bonus which the kiddos loved. Then on top of everything the dinosaur 🦕 park was amazing.
All the kids said is when can we come again.

What an incredible little zoo this is, it was our first experience today and we can’t wait to visit again. Very well thought out layout and easy to get around, my praise goes out to the Sampson family for creating such an amazing place for both animals and guests.

Have visited twice in the past 6 months. Great selection of animals to see, lovely play areas and most appealing for our family is the Dinosaur themed area which is what we have come to visit the zoo especially for for a dinosaur loving 2 year old.
