Shropshire Petal Fields returns to Newport this summer on selected dates from August 7th to 16th. It is a joint venture from Shropshire Petals and Shropshire Festivals, turning one of the petal fields into a visitor attraction whilst the blooms are at their best.
Shrewsbury-based charity Little Stars has been awarded funding through Shrewsbury Town Council's new three-year Cost of Living Grant Fund, enabling the organisation to expand its support for local families facing the rising costs of raising children.
More than £2,000 was raised at a garden open weekend to support cancer patients from Shropshire and Mid Wales together with Macmillan professional staff at Shrewsbury and Telford hospitals.

A surprise baby boom is delighting keepers at Exotic Zoo, with new arrivals appearing across the attraction just in time for the summer holidays.
Shrewsbury Town Council is inviting residents to take part in a programme of events and activities as the nationally recognised Knife Angel continues its stay in The Square until Friday 31 July, inspiring reflection, education and community action across the town.
Shrewsbury's Town Crier, Martin Wood, has been selected to represent the town at the prestigious World Town Crier Tournament, which will take place in Chester this September.
