The layout is excellent, with a great variety of holes and plenty of memorable ones. There are so many good holes that choosing a single signature hole is difficult. The scenery is also a real highlight, particularly the 13th, which is my personal favourite with the Manchester skyline visible in the distance.
The course has been maintained to a very high standard whenever we’ve played, and the new clubhouse is absolutely stunning.
What really adds to the experience is the welcome. The staff are very friendly and helpful, while the members have always been friendly and welcoming to us as visitors.
With very competitive visitor prices as well, Walmersley offers excellent value for money.
Having played many courses in the area, Walmersley is now my favourite in Manchester and Cheshire. Highly recommended.
