Shropshire Air Ambulance - Shropshire is part of the territory covered by the Midlands Air Ambulance. The Charity’s three aircraft each carry a crew comprising Pilot, two Paramedics or Flight Doctors plus full life-support medical equipment - and cost over £6m pa to operate - all of which is provided by donations from the public and local businesses. No Government or National Lottery money is received by the charity.
The Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance (DLRAA) is a life saving service operating all over the East Midlands and serving the people of Heanor and Ripley since 2008. Flying out of East Midlands Airport but regularly re-fueling in Ripley, the DLRAA runs entirely on donations and receives no Government Funding.
