The League of Friends is a registered charity that provides equipment and facilities for the hospital and patients not available on the NHS.
It’s aim is to relieve patients and former patients of the Chard and District Hospital who are sick, convalescent, disabled, handicapped, infirm or in need of financial assistance and generally to support the charitable work of the said hospital.
The committee, through their fund raising, provide the hospital with valuable resources and equipment.

A Charity set up to support poorer families and individuals of the parish of Chard. In the past the trust has granted funding for various requests such as white goods, carpet, medical equipment and horse riding therapy, for example.

At Golden-Oldies we believe that singing is the best way to put a smile on your face. We run monthly singing sessions where we sing songs from the 50s 60s and 70s. You don’t need to have a good voice, just so long as you enjoy music, then Goldies is for you. We ask for a £3 donation towards running costs, but we don’t turn anybody away. Why not come along to your next session and see if it’s for you.
