There was an early sighting of Santa in the streets of Lutterworth when Hinckley & Rugby Building Society staff member Hitesh Gohil warmed up for the town’s fifth annual Santa Fun Run.
Saturday 2nd November will see the 4th Annual Lutterworth Wine Fair take place, which once again will be held in the splendid surroundings of Lutterworth Town Hall.
Twenty members of staff at Hinckley & Rugby Building Society armed with paint and brushes transformed Hinckley Mencap’s meeting room in a team challenge organised by Leicestershire Cares.
This year we had some 28 stalls plus a 1959 Berliet French Army Truck
amongst our classic vehicles on display plus a very popular horse and
carriage ride round the grounds run by “Rustic Occasions” (a first for this
year).
Damion Nickerson, 39, will begin his challenge on Sunday June 30th in support of Crimestoppers, the independent charity who operate the 0800 555 111 phone number for passing on information about crime anonymously.
The Swimathons are on Saturday and Sunday, May 25 and 26. People can take on distances from 1.5km, 2.5km or 5km. Teams can also enter 1.5km or 5km distance challenges.
Hinckley & Rugby Building Society’s financial controller Spencer Costley is in training for a double swimming challenge to raise money for a cancer charity.
On a deep and frosty morning last Sunday, Lutterworth again saw a sea of Santas running, walking or ambling round one of the two courses in aid of their chosen charity.
