This is a lovely country pub serving really nice quality food. The ambiance is very enjoyable and there is plenty of room between tables. High quality ingredients are used and the flavours are wonderful. I would recommend this for an event booking or a quiet meal for two. The staff are really friendly and Hartest is a very pretty village.

Nigel Gollins has completed rewiring and lighting installation at Waresley Village Hall and done a great job. His communication and attention to detail is excellent and we are very pleased with the result.

Outstanding lunch. Delicious cheese and chive pie! Possibly best vegetarian meal I’ve ever had. Great subtle and clever flavours, textures and chef obviously has a talent for combining flavours. Highly recommend.
