    PUCCINI’S TOSCA at Wycombe Swan

    PUCCINI’S TOSCA at Wycombe Swan

    14/02/2016

This traditional production is a heady mixture of true love, torture and treachery, with two of the best roles for tenor and soprano, plus a truly blood curdling villain. Set against the beautiful backdrop of Rome, with spectacular costumes, and featuring a boy’s choir with a shepherd’s boy solo, this most popular of operas is sure to delight with its tender, moving arias “Vissi d’arte” and “E Lucevan le Stelle”.

    Nashville's Gretchen Peters

    Nashville's Gretchen Peters

    14/02/2016

Since the release of her “career album” (NPR), 2012’s Hello Cruel World, two-time Grammy nominee Gretchen Peters has been in near-constant motion, touring for the past two years and releasing a live DVD and CD, Woman On The Wheel, in early 2013. Since 2012 she’s appeared at the Glastonbury, Isle of Wight and Cambridge Folk Festivals; and in addition to headlining her own sold-out tours, she’s supported country and folk legends Guy Clark, Arlo Guthrie and John Prine (duetting with the latter at several shows). ‘One of Nashville’s greatest talents of the past two decades… still equipped with the ability to stop clocks with a well-turned phrase.’ – Uncut
