I know it's got a bit cooler recently and we've actually HAD SOME RAIN (yay!) which has come as a great relief to most of us, BUT be in no doubt, warmer weather is set to return!
I drove down to Wiltshire to see my family recently during one of the heatwaves and I soon discovered that my car's air conditioning wasn't working properly. It was a good 3hr journey and boy it was hot! Having cursed myself for not checking it before, I wondered how many other drivers have been caught out in the same situation, (or is it just me? - drrrr!)
My advice is 'get your vehicle air con checked and re-gassed!' (ie do as I say, not as I do!), and avoid the very uncomfortable drive in hot weather that I experienced! It's not expensive and it can be completed within an hour.
Many garages will offer this service but I know ROY HUBBARD MOTORS in Market Harborough are offering some great deals and re-gas options at the moment (including the new R744 gas compressed C02), depending on your vehicle and environmental preference. I recommend you give them a call, ask their advice and book your car in and avoid making my silly mistake!
