Hi ,
Well it seems the talk of the town is all about comedy, rugby and winter olympics. I think many of us are glad to see the back of this month - it can be a pretty dreary month with its lousy weather, new year resolutions etc, but we can now cheerfully look forward to better things like Spring on the horizon, maybe even a winter holiday for the lucky some, and more daylight.
So with a 'spring in our step', lets see what we've got. For starters, ladies take advantage of JACKS FOR WOMEN's (now!) 70% reductions in the final stages of their Winter Sale. So the Harborough leg of the LEICESTER COMEDY FESTIVAL starts Wed 11th Feb - Sun 15th Feb, (https://visitharborough.com/events/2026/02/big-big-weekend-leicester-comedy-festival) but the Festival itself runs from 4th - 22nd February at a variety of venues across the county. With more than 700 shows(!), many famous names are on the bill, including an interview with Sir Stephen Fry, (refreshed from his recent excellent star performances of 'The Importance Of Being Ernest' on the West End stage), at De Montfort Hall, Leicester on Feb 8th. The annual SIX NATIONS RUGBY TOURNAMENT kicks off 5th February until 14th March and The MILANO CORTINA WINTER OLYMPIC GAMES run from 6th - 22nd February. Many pubs will be showing both events in abundance, and will welcome you with a cosy atmosphere, plenty of liquid refreshment and 'opposing opinions' to enjoy!

The work was explained clearly, carried out with great care, and the end result is superb — both functionally and aesthetically. The tooth looks and feels completely natural and the repair has been faultless.

Initially reluctant to try here due to mixed reviews but have been a few times over the last year and it's always really good food and the staff are really polite. The restaurant itselfl, I fee,l needs a bit of tlc.
