Welcome to 'British Summer Time' and a feast of upcoming local events coming your way very soon. Coupled with more daylight, we are promised warmer weather leading up to the Easter holiday and a great opportunity to enjoy some time outdoors.

The highly popular Sunday 'SADDINGTON CAR BOOT SALE' is back this weekend (6th), and (weather permitting), will feature every Sunday morning and Bank Holiday Monday now until end October. My wife has a 28 year old Breitling that we bought in Barbados for our 25th wedding anniversary. She wears it 24 hours a day. It has never missed a beat until recently when it stopped. As it is a 'Jolly Posh' watch we took it to the Breitling shop in Leicester who sent it off to their official repair place. We had an email from them. Basic repair cost £1800. That's without any warranty. Full repairs including new glass and replacement diamond £4,000 - ish. No thanks, I can buy a good watch for that. We brought it to Time to Time and the fault turned out to be that previously, Timsons had fitted a battery that was too thin and didn't quite touch the contacts properly. The lovely man (sorry I forget his name) at Time to Time saw this and fitted a new battery, a millimeter thicker than the old one. Now the watch is ticking away just like new. £1,795 saved. Anyone who posts less than five stars here needs a visit to the Geriatric Neurological department of their hospital.
