We are so fortunate to have this amazing bistro just a few minutes drive away from home. The food is stunning with so much choice and freshly prepared.
The staff are attentive, happy and welcoming where nothing is too much trouble to make your dining experience one to remember.. Great selection of wine and lovely selection of beers.
Thank you to all the the team at The Crown tonight, Lucy, Tris, and George out front for looking after us so well, smiling and just enjoining being a team, making our evening very enjoyable..Thank you to Jason & Grace for preparing our beautiful food, stunning taste and so bloody delicious ❤️

Just received my Hyundai Tucson hybrid today. Had to wait 16+weeks for it from the manufacturer but seems to be normal these days and was told this by 360. Russell and his team have been fantastic.
I was a bit dubious buying from a broker but I got the car I wanted and everything a dealership could offer and saved 19% on a dealerships price. Also no deposit was required.
I was told car was ready given a delivery date. I paid the money three days before delivery and car was delivered to my door on the agreed date.
Excellent service. Would recommend 360 for a great deal.

We had a lovely lunch with some of our family yesterday. Greeted by very friendly staff ( all staff on the day were lovely). The food was beyond expectation, highly recommend the garlic bread for a nibble. Good starters, followed by a very top quality, beautifully cooked sirloin of beef with all the trimmings.
Puddings were excellent too. I would highly recommend a trip to this lovely village, and the pub and its staff were top notch!

FAB! FAB! FAB!
We have been fortunate enough to travel to every Continent in the world and have experienced many types of hotel accommodation, staff and locations....and, here in Guernsey, the OGH has to rate among the best of the best!
We were actually a day late arriving at OGH as, due to "inclement weather" we couldn't sail from Jersey (our Christmas away from home venue) to Guernsey the evening before....
Our weary travel-worn selves were very warmly greeted by Jack at reception....and he pointed us in the direction of the (rather difficult to negotiate) car park and sent Stewart (Concierge?) around to help us in with our (endless!) luggage...
We had, early for us (7.30am), a pleasant breakfast in the hotel and then crashed out for a couple of (much needed!) hours catch-up sleep....
We enjoyed a beautifully appointed room with a sea view....
We noticed that, if requested, a mini fridge could be bought to the room...and, pretty much, only 5 minutes after our request, the very obliging Stewart had lugged one up for us...what a star!
The hotel is literally only a few minutes down the hill to the main shopping/restaurant etc area....
This was a very pleasant surprise as the hotel feels "at a distance" from the rest of the world!...only a good thing!!
All the staff were a joy to meet (Jack and reception staff in particular) and nothing appeared to be too much trouble for this friendly, professional team

I mention this as I/we believe it was Andrew who sanctioned our request for a late check out....but then went that step beyond...
We were not due to sail back to the UK until 22.25 hrs that evening....and we were permitted to stay "until we needed to leave"...ie. approx 21.00 hrs!...that's some "late check out, eh? (at no extra cost btw!)
AND....before we left, reception called up tp ask if we would like a "food parcel" to take with us for our journey home to the UK!....how kind, how thoughtful...we accepted, of course....
Roberto (lovely , charming man from Sicily) bought it out to our car as we were leaving the hotel... it was absolutely delicious and most welcome!
Whilst this latter part of the review is not necessarily about the hotel I have written it to use as an example of the way the management and staff really do care about and value their guests!
If I lived in Guernsey this would become my second home....as I don't live in Guernsey I/we just dream to return!

I believe this is the first time I have ever eaten here, I have attended weddings and meetings in the past. I had forgotten how elegant and classy this hotel is. We had a couple of drinks at the bar,before being shown to out table. Unfortunately the restaurant was quiet,probably due to the current situation. I ordered the Chicken pate and the main dish of Ribeye, The service level was excellent,the food was really good,and the wine was just right. This was a really special evening out, it’s fine dining at one of Guernsey’s top hotels.

Four of us had a superb meal last night. They were really busy but the service was still spot on. As for the food…
We’re still talking about now. Fish platter was a delight, sea bass was a wow moment, lamb shank was slow cooked to perfection and dansak was amazing. Can’t wait for our next visit. Thank you Everest lounge. You are doing a wonderful job.👍🏻👏👏👏😋😋😋

We have had one takeaway from here- and we dined in on Friday night - the food was wonderful- and the waiter was correct when you dine in the presentation is amazing. We had heard so much Avatar that we thought it must be the best in town- well no its not. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had no reservation and had been on the road for the previous two days (supporting foster carers) and were exhausted. We didn't have to wait long and bingo- beautiful tasty food served up with passion and commitment to providing value for money. Thanks for a wonderful evening
