The hotel is part of the Reebok stadium and is located adjacent to junction 6 of the M61, quite a way from Bolton town centre. There is plenty of parking but the car park will be more crowded if Bolton Wanderers are playing at home. Room rates here vary hugely it was worth shopping around for the best deal, try booking well in advance. Reception staff were pleasant and efficient. Many housekeeping staff don't appear to speak English which could be a problem if you need to ask for anything. The room was fine, modern in design with double bed, dressing table, TV, lounger chair and table. The bathroom was fine. One problem - the hairdryer cut out after 30 seconds, luckily I didn't have an important meeting to attend! There was plenty of hanging space for clothes but no drawers. Breakfast was a standard hotel buffet with hot choices, cerals, breads but not much fruit. The gym was quite small but I suppose that is to be expected in a hotel. If you like English beer, I recommend the Pendle Witch pub in nearby Atherton.

Overall a great experience - of course I can only comment on the stay from my perspective, which as it was organised by work then I cannot comment on the financial aspects!

I stayed for one night on the 5th March. Arrived 8pm; greeted by very professional staff, very quick to process me (despite three people being in front) and everything done with a minimum of fuss. I was given a room on the 6th floor (room 714). The hotel is totally smoke free.

When I opened the room - wow. I'd been upgraded to a penthouse suite!! They must have been full, as the jeans and t-shirt dont usually have that affect (and believe me work are not that generous!)

The suite itself was superb - very clean, not damaged/soiled at all, & large. Hopefully the pictures do the room justice.

Went out with a colleague for a meal in Manchester, came back around 11.30pm - security on the door, polite & professional. Bar area very clean & relaxed in very comfortable surroundings.

Breakfast in the morning - excellent choice and standard. Checkout took literally 30 seconds, again professional.

So overall - a wonderful stay. As I said before, I can only take things as I see them - you may not have the joy of a penthouse suite or may think you've been overcharged - fair enough. But from my perspective - an awesome stay!

I stayed at this hotel, as I was spekaing at a conference at the Reebok stadium, thus was incredibly convenient. I arrived at the hotel following a 7 hour train journey in horrible weather, and it was a relief that I was checked in and in my room within 5 minutes of arriving at the hotel. My check out the following morning was similarly efficient, and conducted in a polite, friendly and professional manner.
My room was of good size and well equipped with hairdryer and iron/ ironing board. As I was too tired to be bothered to go to the restaurant, I opted for room service. Whilst this was pricey (isn't room service always!), the ordering system was without issue and eventhough I was told that my order would take 30minutes, it was in my room within 20 minutes. For room service, I would rate the quality of food as pretty good.
I had an excellent stay at this efficient hotel, and couldn't find fault with any aspect of my stay.

I stayed here on a business trip and it is pretty fascinating walking into a hotel, which is part of a football stadium.

Reception staff are excellent, extremely helpful, courteous and friendly.

Th rooms are of an adequate size, clean and the bed is comfortable.

The only thing that really let the place down was the "Brasserrie" Restaurant. The service was sloppy and extremely slow. I waited half an hour for a drink, then my desert order came wrong, when it did actually arrive. The staff seemed unable to deal with customer complaints, just shrugging it off with a sheepish " sorry".

All the attention seemed to focus on one couple who obviously intended spending big bucks holding a wedding there. Its a shame that they did not realise that by ignoring and forgetting the rest of the diners, the happy couple could hear nothing but the mutterings and complaints about service!!

I would not recomend the Brasserie but other than that the hotel is a good enough base for business.

We stayed just one night 9th August for the Worlds Best Elvis Concert at Bolton Arena next door. It was easy to get to just off the motorway, but not noisy. We had a great time, the hotel is fantastically located at one end of the Reebok Stadium, so you have fooball, the arena and a large retail park on the doorstep. We stayed in a Standard Double room. Nice room, clean linen, clean bathroom and beautiful white towels, only criticism was that the room was dusty, carpet edges and above the bed, hotel management please note for when we come again.

i have stayed in the hotel a couple of times on business and the last time i stayed i was on a business function with my wife and i upgraded to a suite. now the hotel has always been modern. but from now on i will be staying in the very spacious suites.

bar staff are always pleasant and friendly check in and check out excellent. breakfast is always good(pay the fiver to have it delivered to your room its a lot better). the only downside is it the rooms can be a little cold in winter(extra blankets are there for usage)

overall if your staying price up the suites as there wasnt a massive difference from a standard room

stayed at this hotel for 1 night for a business conference. The hotel was easy to find and check in was quick and friendly.
My room was hard to find as i didnt see the signs behind me with the room numbers on (my fault!) once I found my room, i got in and it was spacious, clean and the bed was nice a comfy.

The restaurant was nice, but we chose to eat at the bar as there was a match on, however they let us oreder form the restaurant menu and eat it in the bar and the food was lovely and wholesome.

the conference took place in the stadium, which was a bit of a walk away but once we got there all out rooms where side by side so not a problem.

lunch in the restaurant was great, there was wide selection of hot food e.g. lemon chicken, pasta and more.

would definately use this hotel again for business or leisure.

Bolton/Chorley/Preston/North Manchester is an area with plenty of hotels, most of them sub-standard. For the area, De Vere Whites is above average -- but I stress that is FOR THE AREA. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Service is the high point -- all the staff appear to be genuinely pleased to have you there and to be able to help. Nothing is too much trouble. Parking is no problem. But the food is so-so (breakfasts are much better than dinners) and in any European country other than the UK the price would be considered outrageous. Why do we have to pay these rates? It's a tax on business that other conutries just don't have to deal with.

As you pull up to the hotel you notice how spectacular the place looks. A really unique hotel as it is fixed to the side of Bolton Wanderers Football Ground!
My wife and myself stayed for one night while visiting family in Manchester. We managed to book a fantastic rate on the De Vere website because we booked last minute. We paid £29 room only (normally around £70) so it was fantastic value.
When we arrived at check in they had no record of our booking, which was unreal considering we had booked online 3 days before. The reception woman seemed quite fed up and miserable. When the next shift came on they seemed alot more happy though.
We soon managed to get a room as the place wasn't even half full. Our room was spacious, warm and clean.
Facilities were excellent, a nice little pool, sauna, gym, steam room and great views of the ground and pitch if you are a football fan. I have to say i loved it!!
We decided to eat out in the evening as the hotel restaurant seemed a bit over priced. We ate in Scotts Winebar just turn right out of the hotel entrance. The food was excellent and very reasonable, we had 2 courses and a bottle of wine for £30!
Breakfast was superb, everything you can imagine and more, all fresh, the cooked breakfast was excellent and is on until 10am.
This hotel is easy to find from the motorway as you just follow the signs for Boltons Football ground.
Checkout was fast and to top a greats night stay they forgot to charge us for our breakfasts! They should have been £7.50 each! So all in all an excellent stay, fully enjoyable. By the way the locals are so friendly it puts us southerners to shame! Enjoy.

The Hotel is in a good location close to the M61 and Horwich Parkway station. It is part of the Bolton football stadium and some of the rooms double as executive boxes on matchdays which gives them a worn look.
The staff are very pleasant and helpful and the Hotel is modern clean and tidy .The breakfast is good.
On the downside the hotel is a little soulless . The large bar/lounge seemed far too big for the few customers scattered around.
I was surprised to see the staff in the breakfast room sweeping crumbs from the tables on to the floor and surrounding seats rather than a dustpan.
