I paid less than I have done to stay in a travel lodge but that is where the comparison ends. It is unusual being part of the stadium but that added to the interest. The room was very comfortable with a view over the car park but being away from main roads means it is quiet. The phone did not work in the room and so several visited the room to try and solve it which they eventually did. Although it meant the stay was a little less relaxing because of this all those who visited were very nice and helpful. I had room service in the evening and enjoyed my club sandwich. The leisure complex is great and was quiet on the bank holiday Sunday evening I was there. Breakfast was excellent the usual hotel fair but well down in a nice setting with real trees. As I say for the price it was so much better than other bargain hotels.

I had checked if Bolton were playing at home and discovered that when driving to the hotel. This made parking difficult but I was fortunate to get a space. Although very busy there was no noise in the room. The game did mean the hotel bars were busy after the game but it did not stop me from enjoying my stay. The area has lots of eating and entertainment places if you don’t want to stay in the hotel and good road and rail connections.

One thing to note is that if you put the hotel post code in the sat nav you arrive at the Tesco’s car park with no access to the hotel. I had to ring and they gave me the post code for the football stadium which got me closer and I was able to find it.

Another day another De Vere offer. This hotel is actually in the Reebok stadium (home of Bolton Wanderers football club), and apparently some rooms have a view of a pitch although the norm is Tesco's car park. Hotel is not too soul-less but is definitely aimed at the business market, with Sky Sports on TVs in all public areas. There is an award winning restaurant (apparently) with sweeping views over the stadium however the bistro serves more than adequate fare and there's even a set menu if you're really hungry. The pool is quite small but sufficient for a pleasant dip. Very friendly and happy staff throughout.

Very nice hotel the only down side the in-room TV was very old and the picture quality was awful. Top brand hotels you would expect flat screens

Me and the wife booked here for an anniversary night on 12 May, and there wasn't a thing I could fault.
There are a lot of special deals once you get on their mailing list, so keep an eye out for those.

Check in was fast & friendly, in fact the reception staff couldn't do enough for us.

We requested a pitch view room by email, and after a small mix up we were given a number in the 300's (can't remember the exact number, but request this and you wont be dissapointed)

I'm a United fan so 'this isn't exactly Old Trafford" were the words coming into my mind. How wrong I was when we were given the room along from the restaurant, and I could almost touch the seats from our window!

The room also had a large double bed, Iron/board, tea/coffee making facilities, and a large bathroom with shower. A few people have commented about the TV size, but we don't go to a hotel to watch tele, and just wanted to let our hair down without the kids - so no problem for us.

There is the option to use the gym/sauna/pool but we just didn't have the time to do this,

We got ready and went to The Harvester across the road for a drink, then over to Scots Sports Bar next door.
After coming back and getting ready, we were booked in the restaurant for 7.30. My wife ordered the steak (£21) and I the lamb (£20), they were both cooked to perfection and came with all the trimmings. We ordered a lovely Chilliean red to go with it (£21) and had a very peaceful meal overlooking the pitch. Again the staff were great and came to speak to us now and then, asking was everything OK and commenting about Bolton's big relegation game the following day.
Some of the deals with the hotel include the meal and it works out a great price.

After tea we went back to Scots and had a great night, there was a disco on and the bar was chocca, met some very colourful characters in this place as well!

We'd pre-booked breakfast in bed the night before, and this came at our requested time (10 o'clock) and was again fantastic.

We will certainly be booking De Vere's Whites again, 10/10 for everything!

The hotel was pretty average. The bathroom could do with upgrading along with the television. The room itself was clean. The bed was comfortable. The kettle was tucked away in a draw. I had to ask for more coffee and milk as there was only enough for one cup each! I had to wait around an hour for more to be brought to my room.
In the reception area there was fresh eccles cakes for you to enjoy.
The spa was very welcome for a relaxing evening, however the towel I was given was not clean as it looked like it had some blood on it. If you go and use the spa make sure you check the towels before you go through!
There is a big retail park just a 10 minute walk away. A Harvester pub is just over the main road.
I would stay there again but only at a bargain price!

Got a really good deal on this hotel. Only £29 via Bookings.com (room only of course). On first glance-very impressed by the outside of hotel. Inside did not disappoint either. The young gentleman that checked us in was just so friendly, polite and genuinely helpful. We got in the room early which was a bonus. The retail park is practically on the doorstep. Very handy for a bit of retail therapy. The bar area is very relaxing with tasteful decor and comfy settees. Bottle of wine £18.50. Food well presented and reasonably priced. All the waiters/waitresses were helpful and pleasant. Our room was extremely clean and although not huge, there was ample space to move around. The hotel was really quite lovely. The best point of our stay was just how nice all the staff were. Everyone of them was friendly, chatty but professional. They are a credit to this hotel. The down side (if you can call it this), was that there was no restaurant open to have an evening meal. Apparently the Brasserie does not open on Sunday evenings. I just found this very odd! However it wasn't a major problem as bar snacks were available through till 10pm. Admittedly these meals were very good but not quite the same as having a nice romantic sit down meal. Anyway like I said it wasn't a major problem and did not in any way spoil what was a perfect stay at this hotel.

Strayed for 2 nights. Rooms lovely and clean, really good location at Reebok stadium, close to shopping mall with good choice of chain restaurants. The most outstanding feature were the staff themselves. So friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble, even cooked my son a late meal. De Vere Hotels, the staff here are a credit to you!

We stayed for one night Sunday 3rd June 2012. The reception we received was friendly and professional. We had a small double room on the second floor which catered for our needs. There was tea,/ coffee making, trouser press, hairdryer, double bed and bathroom.

The hotel bar area ia spacious and comfortable, the bar person was friendly and efficient. The drink prices were typical of a hotel.

The hotel also has a small gym, with 2 or 3 running machines, cross trainers, bikes and the usual weight equipment. There is also a pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. The changing rooms have lockers. ( remember you £1 coin for the locker) it is returned after use. The towels are provided free of charge.

Breakfast was buffet style plenty to of options hot and cold.

All in all we would stay again when in the area visiting frinds.

Booked here for two nights in June 2012; had a decent room overlooking the car park. Overall a good base from which you could visit friends/family, or travel to meetings. I would expect a salesman who operates from his car to be the archetypal guest of this hotel; would not find this hotel romantic (unless a Bolton Wanderers fan!). I think it is good value for money when you can get a special rate.

Staff: very friendly and accommodating. Check in process was fast and efficient, though more information could have been provided (for example, how to log into wifi...).

Breakfast: A reasonably large selection of cooked breakfasts, toast, coffee, etc.; some items looked like they had been under the heat lamps for a while but there was enough selection that you could eat healthily if you wished to do so; no obvious local food/produce.

Hotel bar: staff very friendly, accommodating, and welcoming - one of the best features of the hotel, in my opinion. Good selection of premium spirits and all of the normal stuff; prices were in line with what you would expect.

Location: convenient for motorway access and lots of available parking. Not sure that you would be able to do much (besides seeing something in the stadium) without a car.

Rooms: Although perfectly functional, rooms could be refreshed; first time that I have seen a non-flat screen TV in about 5 years. Rooms do have irons, ironing boards, tea/coffee, etc., all of which is functional. I could not find any air conditioning in the room (it may have been there, but not obvious), though a table fan is provided.

Right i am going to keep this review short and sweet because there is not one thing to complain about.

We used this hotel as a stop off on our trip to Disneyland Paris, we stayed for 2 nights in a penthouse Suite 3rd and 4th June 2012.

I have stayed in some of the worlds top hotels yet never had the pleasure of meeting so many courteous staff.

The room was spotless and huge, the food was outstanding and the guy who cut my hair downstairs near reception was one of the nicest people i have ever met.

All in all without doubt one of the best all round hotels i have ever stayed.

Thank you to everyone for making our stay so enjoyable.

It proved to be the perfect start to a perfect holiday.
