Nice hotel, staff are friendly and attentive. Hotel is great location for exploring North West. On the edge of a large retail park, lots of shops and restaurants. Train station 5 minutes walk, you can get to Manchester or Blackpool.

lovely room and great breakfast but no earl grey tea. had a view of the pitch and would have been a cracking place to watch the match. if you do not have an earl grey obsession like me great place to stay and if-a wanderers fan its a must. very busy just before kick off fir obvious reasons

Been a long time since I last stayed here. The place is looking a bit tired, probably due to historical ownership issues.
I believe there is a renovation plan so look forward to coming back.
Breakfast was as good as any five star hotel. The staff are great particularly Amina who looked after us.
And now the compelling reason for me to come back...
The lovely Brigne. What a fox. I won't stay here of a weekend....Brigne the breakfast manager only works Monday to Friday.

Ideal place to set up for the day to meet colleagues and work remotely.
Staff are extremely welcoming, WiFi is strong and food is delicious!
Great package deal on unlimited drinks & lunch
Table service was provided today my Alison who was super helpful and friendly! Thank you Alison!

We stayed over Easter Weekend, on arrival the receptionist greeted us, everything was fine, we did all the usual checking in protocol,
However we were not offered a concierge or any help with the bags up to our room, which we have always had as standard in any hotel,
Our room was the Pitch View corner suite,
The room was exceptionally clean hygiene wise however really needs TLC and updating, (rust on the towel radiator, seal round the bath needs looking at & decor dated) however we are led to believe the hotel is being refurbished this year, it really needs it!
The bed was perfect for us, and my extra pillows where adhered to, the showers are absolutely superb! We really liked the room.
After a good few hours shopping at Middlebrook we were ready to relax and hit the Bar,
Superb bar and staff, especially the lady with the dark curly hair and glasses, great selection of draught, football on the TVs, initially it was just us in the bar but it started filling up with residents and the atmosphere was fabulous,
We had Dinner in the bar area, menu is absolutely brilliant a selection of all sorts,
We didn’t have to wait long for our food but it really could have done with being Warmer, it was ok, the Steak in the Gyro was perfect but like I said all the food was just warm not hot.
Room service we ordered a dessert later on, it did take a while to arrive however the waitress was very apologetic but again it was warm not hot
We also had our breakfast as room service this was pre-ordered for 10.15 but didn’t arrive, I had to telephone down and it arrived at 10.35 …. Again definitely not hot, Luke warm at best, cold beans, and Orange juice spilt all over my tray.
On checkout I did mention the breakfast as I had made it clear on our form handed to the GM my husband is type 1 diabetic so times and extra toast for carbs is important, but this wasn’t adhered to unfortunately
The receptionist on check out (the same lady as whom was running the bar the night before, & delivered my pudding) apologised profusely and took the breakfast off the final bill which was very nice.
This is the the only reason I’d have left 3 or 4 stars, the food being warm/cold but I couldn’t do that to the staff who definitely deserve the 5 stars, and the lady with the brown curly hair and glasses is definitely the glue of the Hotel!
We will return definitely as we enjoyed the experience and like a shopping trip to Middlebrook

I visited on a business stay, the staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. I had a problem with hot water in my room on my last night and the staff went above and beyond to help and resolve the situation and really quickly too. Nothing was too much trouble.
All staff were so lovely and more than happy to take the time to have a chat. I will definitely be back and will be recommending to family and friends who wish to visit the area.

I have stopped at the Whites Hotel on a number of occasions and have always been impressed with the staff in whatever Department I have had dealings with but on this occasion there was a lady who went above and beyond and was an excellent ambassador for the Whites Hotel.
Her name was Amina and she is a first rate communicator and who judges her level of interaction with guests perfectly as not all guests are “Morning” people and it would be remiss of me not to mention her friendly and welcoming persona when I arrived for Breakfast.

Can I first say every hotel needs a Brian nothing was a bother at all, anything we needed in our rooms was no trouble, an absolute credit to the hotel, so friendly, we were a group of ten pin bowlers and his help was invaluable to our group.

A full weekend spent at the hotel and premier suite holding a large dog grooming event, The Great British Grooming Show. For us as the organisers, the whole team went above and beyond to make our stay and event a good one. From reception, bar,restaurant, events team and cleaners and everyone behind the scenes a very big thank you. Also a very big thank you to Jack ryder for being so kind and lovely. See you all next year
