Loved it here. We came by accident and what a pleasant accident it was. Ample servings great service and wonderful food. Also, ample parking, at least for us when we arrived for a midweek lunch. My wife is keen to return, and so am I.

We were attending a memorial so just needed a base for one night, so maybe a little pricey (but was through Booking.com)
Location. Parking availability. Retail park close by. Reception staff attentive. All communal areas clean & tidy with a high class appearance.
Bedroom looked and felt tired. No USB ports in bedroom and no plug sockets by bedside. It poured with rain on checkout & needed to get to car but reception had no umbrellas for such a purpose - luckily one was found in lost property for temporary use.

Pleasant
Bed was very comfortable. Room as clean.
Breakfast was additional expense and there was not much selection, yet there was still 45 minutes left. Felt the accommodation rate was too high for room only, given that we did not have pitch view.

Brilliant
Good traditional English. Labelling of milk could be clearer. Loose sugar would be easier to use and more environmentally friendly than packets. Personally prefer fine ground pepper and salt; mills provide a gritty texture. Overall good score!!
