The location was excellent as we were attending an event at the Stadium
Check-in was a nightmare rooms were not ready until nearly 5pm & we’d been travelling from 4.30am. Breakfast was chaos. Coffee machines not working or extremely slow . No milk for cereal. Lack of selection of pastries Cleaning beer lines for 4 hours in the middle of the day when the hotel is fully booked leaving no draft available and then running out of certain drinks.

Friendly staff, warm welcome and a good nights sleep.
Friendly welcome from the reception staff with some good information about future bookings. Bar and restaurant staff also offered the same friendly welcome. Loved the matchday menu and enjoyed the homemade fish, chips and mushy peas. There was a good atmosphere around the hotel as a few football fans checked in or popped in for pre match drinks. The suite was spacious and had toiletries, bath robes and slippers. Had a restful, undisturbed nights sleep.
Some of the furniture in the room was a bit scuffed and the carpet had a few stains. The room looked a little tired but nothing a lick of paint and deep clean wouldn't fix.

I cannot rate this place highly enough if you’re in the area you really should go it’s dog friendly with an absolutely huge rear garden.
Good choice of real ales fantastic food, friendly staff with a great atmosphere.

Such a beautiful setting for a lovely country pub, we didn't eat here, so can't comment on this, we just had drinks,but the staff were friendly & helpful and it was lovely to sit outside in the garden, with plenty of tables, an outside bar and food, & children's play area. Very peaceful and relaxing.
