We were staying over for the night, so thought we’d dine at the most popular restaurant.
Overall, we were really impressed. The service was excellent and the drinks and were of the highest standard. The vegetable mom to start and the Jonson Rara lamb main dish were outstanding. Great to eat such well cooked lamb that still retained pinkness.
I’d definitely dine here again and we loved our experience.
The only room for improvement would be the poppadoms, they were soft. We raised this and they were exchanged, but they were still soft compared to the crisp, crunchy ones we have in Leicester. They were still edible though and please do not let this distract you from the high standard of the food here.

The Crown hosted our running club's Christmas party ... 72 people ... the food was top quality and arrived promptly and the staff were fantastic. We will be back next year!!
