We stayed Friday night on a 'wine and dine' package and Saturday on a match day package. Booked as soon as we knew our next FA Cup game was here, reserved the family pitch view room and were able to have that room for both nights. As we arrived it had started snowing and it carried on though the evening.

Leisure
The leisure facilities were fab. A lovely pool and jacuzzi, there is also a gym but we didn't use that. Only slight downside was that kids have to be out for six.

Food
On the Friday the restaurant was closed for a private function, we opted for room service rather than eat in the bar. The £3 tray charge only applies on orders less than £15, which our order was. The food was lovely. Pizza, burger and chicken burger all well presented and tasty. The coleslaw was delicious. Breakfast was brilliant, the usual buffet but all very fresh, buffet was kept replenished, the staff were very friendly and helpful. On Saturday evening we ate in the restaurant. Food was delicious but the restaurant lacked a bit of atmosphere.

Football
We spent the evening and most of the night watching the grounds staff trying to clear the pitch. In the morning more volunteers were drafted in - the match would have been called off without them. You can not take your own food or drink into the hotel, if you do there is a £30 fine. There are terms and conditions that we had to sign but its basically not to bang on the windows or show flags or colours. Our view was amazing - we did think we might miss out on the atmosphere but we were at the away end so it was fine.
I would highly recommend this package - it might look expensive but with the bed, breakfast, allowance for food, match tickers etc we felt it was really good value.

In summary lovely hotel, great packages, fantastic room and facilities. I also need to say that the staff were all really lovely. Including some who had had to stay over due to the snow.

Have been before and maybe I just got unlucky with the room. Seemed smaller than last time and the tv's reception was hazy at best. Breakfast was good and could not fault the staff.

Only stayed there as there for a function and cannot see why you would do otherwise.

only stayed the one night and the hotel was decently priced for twin room with breakfast. We were attending a funeral the next morning and needed somewhere not too expensive to stay overnight. Breakfast was alright but could have been hotter though. Went to the bar for a bar meal when we arrived late is and this was already but a bit pricey. I suppose you expect to pay these sort of prices. Would go back and try and use the leisure facilities next time possibly.

Stayed here for business in February. As always the staff were great and I had a really nice stay. Had a room that overlooked the pitch, have stayed in a number if rooms including the penthouses and always had a fab time.

Stayed for 1night whilst doing business in Farnworth, just down the M61 which is 1 minute away. Double room facing car park. Very quiet, comfortable bed and nice bath/shower. Restraint on site was good, downside was perhaps breakfast where the ingredients where on the cheaper side. Rack rate was £75 for the night with breakfast.

Stayed at Hotel Nice large rooms and well appointed
Sports complex nice
Friendly staff
would stay again
The only gripe was that we came to breakfast at 9am and the selection was a bit tired and service was slow even though there was only about 8 people in the restaurant.

We have been here before and this time tried a Penthouse Suite. It was so home from home that I told the receptionist I was moving in! The photos on the website do not do it justice at all. The hotel's locality makes it an ideal base for anyone visiting any of the major towns or cities, or even Blackpool and the Lakes. Lots of entertainment close by as well as shops! The hotel we feel is unique and we already have plans to return.
