1. The minster. The largest gothic cathedral in Northern Europe, it is a spectacular sight and the Jewell in the crown of the great city of York. It is a building full of history and once inside there are tours as well as beautiful services and events 2. The York dungeon. The city of York is renowned to be one of the most historic, as well as haunted, cities in Britain. Therefore learning some more about it's more scary and daunting past is brilliant for any visitor. Beware though, some never leave the dungeon ;) 3. The castle museum. Another of yorks fantastic museums, this remarkable attraction allows I sites into the life of dick Turpin, Victorian life as well as allowing you to explore yorks historical artifacts. 4. York boat tours. Fantastic for a day out or even an event if party, these boats cruise down the scenic river Ouse and show visitors all there is to see from the river. These boats also have fantastic refreshments and are highly recommended by all 5. The Jorvik museum. An action packed and interactive museum for all the family as well as all those interested in yorks Viking and Saxon heritage. With realistic smell, sights and sounds this museum shows all there was to know about yorks ancient past
