Churchfields development

Pilot Neil Coote is flying high after relocating to his new home at Redrow’s Churchfields development in North Yorkshire.

After selling their long-term family home in Lincolnshire, family man-of-six daughters Neil Coote and his wife Margaret decided to move closer to their youngest daughter and grandchildren who live in Boroughbridge.

“We sold our previous home much quicker than planned and thought let’s just go for it with buying our next home,” said the couple and they found their new home in Green Hammerton which was perfectly located for their retirement, leisure activities, family and friends.

With a 47 year career in the construction industry, Neil has a keen eye for quality detail and he has been impressed with the quality of his first Redrow home after downsizing from a 5-bedroom family home to 3-bedroom Ashbourne house perfect for retirement life.

“We considered at an early stage that Redrow were a good quality housebuilder and from start to finish our experience with Redrow has been fantastic. We want to say thank you to Redrow Homes who have been exemplary housebuilders in every way and without exception, every tradesman on site has been so polite and helpful every step of the way. We do think that the site mangers Ben Scargill and Matty McNamara have been meticulous and Sarah Nicholls was very thorough and pleasant in delivering excellent customer service. A great team who we would certainly have no hesitation to recommend.”

Neil, who has been a member of the Cranwell College Flying Club for many years, with a PPL British License and a European (EASA) Aircrew Licence, recently flew a Grob single engine aircraft from nearby RAF Linton over Green Hammerton village to take some aerial photos of his new home.

“Both of us have been made to feel very welcome and the location is perfect for us. We have both worked long hours all of our lives and now it is time to spend more time dedicated to each other. It’s a bonus being so close to an airfield and to regularly be able to go rowing on the River Ouse with friends. We’re looking forward to enjoying time with our family, as you can imagine with having seven grandchildren, we’re very family-orientated and our new home still gives us plenty of space to host everyone.”
