WrexFest is taking place on Saturday 24 August from 11am on Llwyn Isaf green and Queens Square in the town centre.

Organised by Beth Bennett, a Wrexham resident who created the ‘Change Wrexham For Our Future’ facebook campaign, the event aims to bring the people of Wrexham together to celebrate what a fantastic town and sense of community we all have!

‘So many people and businesses have got involved, I’m really excited about it’, enthused Beth.

‘AEC Electronics are sponsoring the event along with Business Design and Print and Element Digital, who have helped with banners and poster designs. Saith Seren and thebestof Wrexham have been helping us to promote the event.

‘There should be something there for all ages to enjoy. For children we have:

‘There will be food stalls and refreshments to buy, including a Wrexham Lager tent, A Taste of Portugal, plus cake stalls. Or you are welcome to bring your own picnic and sit out for the day. The mayor will be visiting plus there'll be several other businesses and stalls.

‘We’re also having local bands play on the bandstand from 11am through to 7.30pm, there’s a variety of music from rock to 80s pop!

  • The Rift
  • The Avenues
  • Portlight
  • Vespa
  • Luke Gallagher
  • Tom Matthias
  • Kip Canon
  • Defy All Reason
  • Chameleon – headlining.

‘Saith Seren will be holding an after event party for us when the last band finishes, so you can make a night of it if you like!’

Businesses and volunteers can get involved by calling Beth on 01978 290563 or email bethster1@live.com.

Thebestof Wrexham will be there and we can’t wait! Come and visit us and say hello :-)
