<p> </p> <p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif";">‘Underneath the Arches’, Light and Music Spectacular at Pontcysyllte Aqueduct</span></strong></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif";"> </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif";">‘Underneath the Arches’, light and music spectacular, is being held on Thursday 12 July, on the football pitch below Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, to celebrate the launch of Glandwr Cymru, the charity that will be taking over from British Waterways on that date.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif";"> </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif";">From 7pm until 10.30 pm there will be music from the Fron Choir (7 – 7.30pm), The Pigeon Snatchers (7.45 – 8.45pm) and The Paul Sturman Band (9 – 10.30pm).  The aqueduct will be illuminated from 9 – 11pm.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif";"> </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif";">Bring a picnic, enjoy the music and see the aqueduct illuminated - as it’s never been seen before.  This is a FREE event.  All Welcome.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif";"> </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif";">The site can be reached via the B5434, which runs between Trevor and Froncysyllte.  There is some parking in the field opposite the entrance to the football pitch, courtesy of Mr Elfed Morris.  The £1 charge will be donated to charity.  There is plenty of free parking at Trevor, which is a 5-10 minute walk away.  There is an area where blue badge holders may park, but access may be difficult for some types of wheelchair, due to the uneven ground.
