Melanie Allsop called me in to see how we could extend The Best of Wrexhams marketing of THE Group. Although owner, Mike Scott was away on business, THE Group offices were buzzing as usual.
Melanie confirmed that this excellent training company was really busy and still extending the many facets of the business. I was pleased to learn that Wrexham companies, and, in fact, businesses across Wales and the North West were still investing in staff training. Over many years in business I have learnt that good, knowledgable staff enhance your business, but that poor staff, even if it's only one, can do irreparable damage.
I hope to be able to detail the THE Group business more fully in a Newsletter later in the year, but one development struck me as being too important to wait for.
Mike has managed to obtain substantial Grant Aid from the Welsh Assembly for NVQ's. This is great news and it will be popular in these difficult times. A call to Melanie, Jill, Mandy, Scott, or even to the main man Mike, will fill in the details.
