The Rugby League World Cup (RLWC) trophy came to Wrexham last week and stopped off at the historic Pontcysyllte Aqueduct as part of its North Wales tour.

The famous Glyndwr University Racecourse Ground will host two games as part of the 2013 RLWC Wales Group D match against USA on Sunday November 3rd (KO 2pm). The Racecourse Ground will also host the mouth-watering quarter final match between the winners of Group A and Group D on Saturday November 16th (KO 1PM).

The famous trophy visited several locations as part of a three day tour across the region. As well as our World Heritage Site, the trophy was also seen at Eagles Meadow, Deeside Leisure Centre and Queensway Stadium. One of Crusaders main sponsors, Allington Hughes Law, had the trophy on Thursday morning, while Magellan Aerospace, sponsors of North Wales Crusaders Skills Camps and employers of Crusaders fan and #findourballs winner Paul Maggs, had a visit on Friday morning.

There are various opportunities for Wrexham and North Wales based Companies to get involved with the RLWC and benefit from the games that are to be held in Wrexham.

There is the opportunity to partner a local primary school so their pupils can attend the game on Nov 3rd and have your company directly credited for this in the PR leading up to the game or how about enjoying some Match Day Hospitality at the game itself.

Companies already on board and supporting the games here at Wrexham include Novus Property Solutions, Allington Hughes Law, Ellis and Co Accountants, Gap Personnel and Dragon Drilling. The trophy tour culminated at the Wrexham Museum which was the secret hiding place for the last RLWC's #findourballs competition in Wrexham.

Cllr Neil Rogers, Leader of Wrexham Council said: "This magnificent trophy game and deserves to be seen by as many people as possible."

"This is an opportunity to watch world class sport right on our doorstep and we will have the added bonus of Wales staying and training here in Wrexham. I'm sure we will all be getting behind Wales for the tournament."
