Easter Activities and Fun in Wrexham

With the Easter holidays getting ever closer, we've found some fabulous family friendly events to put in your diary:

Why not take the children along to Nant Mill on 15th April to make an Easter Card. You can drop in from 1.30pm to 3.30pm. Price: £2.50

On Wednesday 16th April at 1:30pm, there is an exciting Easter trail going on at Alyn Waters - try it, you never know you may win a prize!

Decorate some Eggs-citing clay eggs at Ty Mawr Country Park on 17th April between 1.30pm to 3.30pm. Price all ages £2.50.

The Easter Bunny Trail at Bellevue Park on 17th April, 10am to 12pm promises a great morning out. Meeting point: The Bandstand. Price: Donations please to Friends of Bellevue Park.

Ty Mawr Country Park is also holding an Easter Hedgehog Trail on 21st April, 11am 'til 3:30pm all ages welcome. A great opportunity to find out more about these prickly friends.

Visit the Bowling Pavillion at Ponciau Banks Park for the Mad Hatters Tea Party & Bowling taster session on 24th April from 1:30pm to 3:30pm - they are offering kids the chance to make a "mad" Easter hat and/or try a game of bowls. Price - All ages £2.50 for the hat and bowling is free.

From 12th April to 22nd April, Bellis Garden Centre are hosting a Charity Easter Egg Hunt with all proceeds going to Nightingale House Hospice. Simply follow the clues around the garden centre to find the Easter chicks. There will be a small prize for every entry. Price: £1.00, entry forms provided in store.

Chirk Castle are holding some Easter Activities (12th-21st April, 11am-3pm as well as Cadbury Easter Egg Trail (18th - 21st April - 10am to 4:30pm). Explore the dungeons and by-pass the guards to pick up clues to where your Cadbury chocolate Egghead prize is hidden. £2.50 per trail. Normal admission applies.

From 5th to 27th April, Techniquest are holding a fun event called "Bubbles and Bangs" - a chance for you to see bubbles go out with a bang! See how bubbles are made, learn how to catch them and even change their shape. Imagine a bubble that's big enough for you to stand inside! Shows are on at 1pm and 3:30pm on the dates opposite and are included in the entry price.
