There is a nasty cold doing the rounds and I kept away from last nights The Foundry/Central Stations Network Meeting so as not to spread it any further. No doubt the evening will have been a great success and I am sorry to have missed it.
It has given me the chance to read the latest issue of Border Business Magazine and I was surprised to see a feature article written by my friend John Hicks. John is one of the real entrepeneurs, spotting oportunities for new business in the most unlikely places. Not only finding them, but having the courage to set them up. John has also learnt that every entrepeneur needs a sound organiser along side them. You may have seen John on Channel 4's Secret Millionaire program, it cost him a pretty penny but he is still in touch with those that he helped. He's a nice man with a good heart and if you are ever in Cawthorne, near Barnsley, pop into the Spencer Arms, he could be just the man to talk to about that really great idea that you haven't pursued!
