My Tuesday started with a second 25 mile journey, the guy had been ill the first time, and I arrived dead on time. "He's had to go down south" his pleasant assistant told me, "I'm sure that he thought you were coming yesterday. I know that he really wants to see you but he has taken his diary with him so I can't suggest a date". My appointment had definitely been agreed for Tuesday, people do get called away on important business and appointments sometimes need to be broken, but why don't they tell you, phones have been around for a long time. I wouldn't mind quite so much but he has been asking me to call, not visa versa.
I'm sure that it happens to everyone, it's not at all unusual, but it is damned annoying nonetheless.
