An evening of culture in Wrexham

Today has turned out to be a real day of culture for me in Wrexham (well, this evening anyway!).

Yales Cafe Bar (Central Station) hosted thebestofwrexham and Fusion networking event which tonight was mostly dominated by Welsh Language students proudly showing off their recently aquired linguistic skills!

Creative talents on show included classic Welsh poetry, a Welsh medley of Mamma Mia songs and some fascinating and beautiful wood carvings inspired by local history, each piece containing a story.

Thank you to Dave Gray of The Foundry and Aled Jones from Yales for putting together another great evening.

 

As if that wasn't enough creative culture for one evening, I come home to find online a video by a 21 year Wrexham man who is star in the making.

Danny Gruff is a singer songwriter who has been playing since he was 13 and is just launching his first release from his new EP ahead of a tour in October.
