My mum was staying with us and I thought that a visit to Chirk would make a nice trip out. I wanted to see Robert Butler at Moreton Park Garden Centre so I invited Viv to join us. Taking a wife and a mother to this magnificent Garden Centre was always likely to prove to be expensive but Viv assured me that Moreton Park was extremely competitively priced, and she is a garden centre connoisseur, so in fact I had saved money by taking them there! Sometimes female logic astounds me but my savings are evidently going to be a long term investment as Viv has added this venue to her "Day Shopping Trips with Friends" list!
Suffice it to say we had a very enjoyable afternoon, sampling the upstairs cafe and the downstairs restaurant, both excellent in quality and value and Robert signed up for another years marketing on this Best of Wrexham, so I was happy too.
