It’s official. Being married can make you happier. At least that’s what the Office of National Statistics recently released survey tells us. 82% of those surveyed that are married or in a Civil Partnership said their life satisfaction was either high or medium – 10% higher than any other relationship status.

So if you’re getting married next year, you’ll more than likely be well into the planning stages. Hopefully you’ll have found and booked the venue, and chosen your dress and outfits for the big day.  You’ve probably secured the cars, and agreed where to spend your honeymoon. But there may be one or two things you haven’t yet done. Or if you’re not undertaking your nuptials until 2014 or beyond, you might not have planned much at all yet.

Either way, thebestofwrexham’s here to help the day go that bit smoother. From beautiful bridal gowns to hair and make up, or preserving your special day, thebestofwrexham’s got everything you need to make your wedding day extra special.

Every girl wants to look her best on her wedding day. And that means wearing a stunning bridal gown, getting a gorgeous hair-do, and letting a professional apply her make-up for her. She might need a bit of help relaxing too, and what better way is there to do that than with a wonderful massage that’s guaranteed to take away the stresses and strains of the day.

And not only will the bride want to look beautiful, she’ll want a bouquet to match. And flowers for the church and reception too. The groom and his team will need buttonholes and it’s tradition to buy a bunch for the bridesmaids and mother of the bride.

For the evening do, you want to get a party going. And music’s a big part of that. It can be cheesy. It can tacky. It can be whatever you want it to be. It just needs to get everyone from kids to grandparents off their seats and on to the dance floor. Not every DJ’s musical choices can have that effect, so make sure you choose one who can.

In the blur of emotion on the day itself, it’s not easy to remember all the details, so it’s worth recording it. Getting a wedding photographer that knows what they’re doing is vital. Having a set of professional photos taken is a great way of keeping the day alive, and it’s always fun to look back in later years. And have you thought about preserving the celebrations on DVD? You can hire a video camera to use yourself or get an experienced cameraman in to do the job. DVDs make great presents and are brilliant at capturing the little details you might have missed during the day.

Hopefully you’ve found our local wedding service guide useful. It doesn’t promise to make the weather perfect. It won’t stop Uncle Charlie getting drunk and doing his awful dad dancing. And it doesn’t mean that absolutely everything will go exactly to plan – small problems usually present themselves on wedding days. But at least you’ll know the important things are taken care of and you can concentrate on enjoying the occasion. And the only hitch on the day will be the one between you and your partner.
