A plethora of Networking Meetings.

There has been a plethora of Network Events over the last few days.  Celtic Crusaders invited me along to theirs at Wrexham FC and it was very interesting to hear at first hand their aspirations for top quality rugby league at the Racecourse ground.  This has to be a massive plus for Wrexham and new signing, Alfie, Wales own talisman, Gareth Thomas came along to lend his considerable support.

It also provided an opportunity to meet friends old and new.  Carolyn gave me an update on Stillmuchtooffer, her excellent new concept for a working life after 50.  This is a small part of what she offers, but how nice to know that there is help available for mature talent.

We were delighted to encourage our members to join us at the Fusion event at Central Station.  David Gray allowed me to present Certificates to Jan Wass of Freespirit whose many satisfied customers had voted Freespirit to The Best Ballon Specialist in the UK.  A tremendous well deserved achievement.  Once again it was nice to meetup with friends.  Matt and Aled had booked a splendid group, new to me, called Heal, all four group members are song writers in this folksy pop style.  Evidently they had been Record of the Week on Radio Wales.  They were very impressive and I was delighted to be given a copy of their first album, The Last Stand, which is an anomally as I believe that this is more likely to be The FIRST Stand for this Welsh quartet.

Laura and Gemma invited me to the Leadership and Management Breakfast Network Meeting where we learned of many new initiatives available to businesses in Wrexham.  I was delighted to learn of the continued success of Tree Carving Ltd from Simon and Liz O'Rourke, Simon has employed a new tree carver, Nathan and has taken on some exciting new commissions.  If he ever has time to sit down he has promised to detail his year to me so that we can appreciate his achievements in International competition as well as in business.  An outstanding Wrexham business.
