In October 2013, a group of 19 students and staff from Worthing High School will be travelling to Nallajerla, near Hyderabad in India to work in St Joseph’s school.

This school differs from others in the country as they offer education to all the children in the local rural area, not just those can afford it. While there, the students will be paired up and will plan and teach 2 lessons a day to their allocated class before leading teams of children in activities including art and craft, games and sport in the afternoon. The students from Worthing High will also get the opportunity to visit a leper colony and work for an afternoon in an orphanage that is linked to St Joseph’s.

This life changing trip will be a great opportunity for young people from Worthing to experience another culture, food, customs, traditions and religion and we would like to offer you the opportunity to partner with us in this adventure.

The cost of this trip is nearly £25,000 with each trip member being asked to raise £1300 to cover all costs and it is for this that I am asking for support.

There are two main ways that you and your business or organisation will be able to partner with us: 1. Trip sponsorship. By donating towards the cost of the trip we will print your company logo on the team T-shirts that will be worn during all travel, at the airport and all the time in India while at the school.

Your logo will also feature very strongly in all the photos that will be taken by the team while out there and then posted on social network sites, appear in the team video that will be shot out there which will played in schools and community centres around the South of England and also on Youtube.

Your company will also appear on the thank you page of the school and Cred Foundation websites and linked to from any blogs that are made during the trip. 2. An ‘in-kind’ donation. These have previously been items of kit or equipment the team have taken out to our partner project for help with a specific planned activity or to benefit the teachers and students of the school. These items could be anything from stationary products through to sports equipment and even laptops. Again this will generate a lot of publicity for you business through appearing in photos, videos and blogs and will also appear on the Worthing High School and Cred websites.

We can also arrange for photos and videos to be made of the equipment in action for use within your business. It is often not known what will be of real use to the school until about 2 months before the trip so if you would be interested in supporting in this way please get in touch and we can discuss nearer the time how you could best support us.
