Worthing Thunder Sign Christopher Talley

Worthing Thunder Basketball Club are delighted to finally announce the signing of American guard, Christopher Talley for the upcoming EBL Division One season.

Talley, a 23-year-old, 6’2 guard from South Carolina comes out of Fairmont State. He is best known for his deadly long-range accuracy. In his senior year, he shot a solid 42% from behind the three-point line.

He was third in scoring in his senior year, also. Averaging 13.0 points with a career high of 29 points, which included Talley connecting on 7-out-of-9 shots from long range.

This will be Christopher’s first overseas experience and Worthing Thunder head coach, Gary Smith is delighted to of obtained Talley’s services for this season.

“Chris is a great signing for us,” Smith said. “He is a very mature player for his age who can most certainly shoot looking at the game tape and his stats.

“He is a passionate leader on the court too, and with the squad we will have this year, it is vital that we have a player like Chris that can control the floor and guide others as well.”

Christopher will look to make his debut on Saturday 10th September when Worthing Thunder host BBL side Guildford Heat in a pre-season friendly. A game dedicated to the late Billy Hungrecker. Tip-off is scheduled for 7.30pm with doors opening at 6.30pm.

Tickets are £7 for adults, £5 for children and £20 for a family of four.
