Worthing Celebrates Mental Health Awareness Week
10th September 2015

The big question these days is, why are so many people suffering from stress and depression?  The reality is these challenges face people wherever they live.  I want to encourage people to get help if they are feeling down and need support.

I am passionate about helping people to find their own solutions to problems and coaching is but one of many resources available.  Worthing is such a great place for so many reasons, it is vibrant, we have the iconic pier and cinema, and London and Brighton on our doorstep.   It is mainly flat, easy to get around and not too built-up.  Some might say it is the perfect place to live for families, young people, adults and the elderly.  As a town that would like to promote healthy living, we are acutely aware that people need support.

For those feeling negative, experiencing worry, negativity, anxiety or stress, developing coping strategies and a postive outlook is key in moving forward and developing a sense of peace and balance.

If you are experiencing low moods, stress or anxiety, negativity or negative voices or self talk or feel that you are struggling with keeping positive, or you know someone else who suffers, I would like to invite you to join me at 5 pm on Friday 9th October at the Offington Park Methodist Church, South Farm Road, nr Broadwater Green for my free talk on Strategies for Developing a Positive Outlook.  I look forward to meeting you there.

Some suggestions I will be discussing further include:

Having a routine

Self Discipline

Taking Rest

Talking about your feelings

Seeking extra support

Taking in the fresh air

Diet and Exercise
