There's Something For Everyone at Worthing Rugby Club


If you are out and about in Worthing town centre on the 13th August, 20th August and 10th September, make sure you pop along and take part in Worthing Rugby Club's promotional activities.

On each of the days, the team will be there to tell local people all about the different sections of Worthing Rugby Club, with some fun, practical activities to get involved in.

These will include:

  • Basic skills lessons,
  • Game of Tag Rugby,
  • A scrum machine to try out,
  • Demonstations of line-outs with senior Worthing players.

Whether you are an avid rugby fan, interested in getting involved in the sport or are just wanting to support the club, there is something for everyone. Even if you don't play rugby, it's a great, social day out for all the family, just pop down have a drink, eat some food and enjoy the sunshine! Come along as a supporter and help cheer the teams on!

Worthing RFC will also be holding a promotion on the three days - come and find out about the club at the information stand and receive a voucher for free entry to the Men's 1st XV's first home game of the season on 3rd Sept, worth £8!


 

If you are looking to take part there are various men's, women's, girls' and boys' teams, and the club holds some of the best facilities in the area with a great clubhouse, grounds and social programmes. 

The Worthing Raiders play a high standard of rugby - with the mens 1st XV team in the rugby National League 2 south. There are also four other mens teams who are part of local sussex leagues. The clubs high standard of coaching lets the teams develop their talent and grow.

The womens team is a fun place for you to get fit, try out a new sport, have fun and make some new friends. This section of the club is thriving and they are always looking for new players to sign up and take part. 

The Mini Rugby teams are for both boys and girls from years 2 to 7. After this age the boys Junior Rugby team for years 8 to 6th form and girls team from ages 12 to 18 help them play at the highest level they can achieve. Worthing Rugby Club work with local schools to provide a fun atmosphere along with some great coaching.  They teach the children participation, self respect and healthy living as well as the club being a place for them to train and form great friendships.

So why not join the club? Whether you are a supporter or want to take part there really is something for everyone. You will always receive a warm welcome!
