The X Factor’s Andy Abraham’s new show creates a musical journey through some of the greatest music from the swing era and visits Worthing’s Pavilion Theatre on Friday May 11.

The concert will feature some of the most popular music made famous by some of the greatest bandleaders in big band history, including Harry James, Benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsey, Duke Ellington, Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Woody Herman and Buddy Rich.

The History of the Big Bands combines virtuoso musi¬cianship with classic songs. It includes a 13-piece big band and a series of soloists who cover the famous solos as played by the original bandleaders. The audience is guided from the works of one bandleader to the next by Andy Abraham.

Andy rose to fame in 2005 on The X Factor where he impressed the judging panel and audiences across the country with this soulful voice and winning personality.

Since performing on the television show Andy has embarked on three tours, released three albums and sold over half a million records. In 2008 Andy represented England in the Eurovision Song Contest, singing to 600 million viewers worldwide.  In September 2011, Andy starred in the West End musical Respect la Diva at the Garrick Theatre.
