The Gun Inn at Findon is fast building a reputation as the ‘gastro pub’ destination in the Worthing area.

Making the most of their ever-increasing foodie fan base, The Gun held a fundraising evening in aid of Help for Heroes on Wednesday 6th July, and to great success - their seven course seafood taster menu raised a massive £1000 for the charity.

The full seven courses were as follows...

Fresh oyster Bloody Mary with celery pickle,
Saffron and mussel soup with chive oil,
Grilled Cornish sardine bruschetta with gremolata,
Linguini with lobster, chilli and garlic, and crispy capers,
Roasted fillet of sea bream, parsnip puree, samphire and bisque,
Pavolva with cassis mousse and summer berries,
And a selection of Sussex cheeses for your table
.

Every table was snapped up, and the fundraising efforts were incredible – congratulations to The Gun Inn and their very happy diners!

The journey over from Brighton was undoubtedly worth it for the beautiful roast dinners and the desserts that followed: sticky toffee pudding, Sussex cheese board and coconut crème brûlée – unbeatable!
