The Burlington goes down under

As the official hotel partner for The Big Air Open Kitesurfing Classic, the Burlington hotel has designed a week of Australian themed food and entertainment to create an atmosphere to match this fantastic beach event.

Andrea Pagliaro explains.

I was sitting on the balcony at The Burlington, facing the fog and wind, when I had an idea. If the Summer does not come to Worthing this year, we can make the Summer ourselves!

The fun starts with you being dressed in beachwear, which is the dress code. (Fake tan is not compulsory, though.) Yes, there will be bikinis, cocktails and surfers here at Gio’s!

The Burlington summer begins on 7th July with live music and Aussie drinks at our Surf Party. While we make the cocktails  for you, at 5.30pm Brucie will crack on with his barbie at Gio’s.

We’ve hired a superb local band to get the party rocking in our club from 7pm to 11pm. The DJ will then keep the dance floor busy with fabulous tunes until late.

Our photographer will be ready to take shots of you on the board, and you can test your skills on the surf simulator too! We’ll have footage from the party, so if you’re in it, we’ll sort out a copy for you.

the 14th July  is dedicated to a major event that I can’t wait for – The Big Air Open Kitesurfing Classic! There will be some great jumps out on the water that day and lots of ‘wows’ from the audience - at least from me there will!

So that you won’t miss any of the guys and girls doing their awesome tricks, our Aussie meals will be packed for you to take away so that you can enjoy the day with a satisfied stomach.
