Supported by Bowers & Wilkins, the Worthing & District Animal Rescue Service Dragon Boat Festival is set to bring a bit of Hong Kong to Lancing on Sunday 31st July, at the wonderful Brooklands Pleasure Park.

Teams of fifteen people will race the length of the lake in 40ft long Dragon Boats, with a minimum of 3 timed runs.

At the end of the day, the top teams will go into a grand finale to be crowned to Dragon Boat Champions for 2011.

There will also be a Fancy Dress competition, with prizes for the best dressed team, and a special Dragon Boat trophy up for grabs.

The fun doesn’t stop there, with martial art displays, food stalls, music, children’s activities, the Splash FM Roadshow, and much more.

All 24 spaces have now been filled; in fact, demand is so great that organisers are now filling a reserve team list for those hoping to take part.

However, there is plenty of room for those wanting to witness the excitement of the Dragon Boat Race – the event will run from 10am until 4pm on July 31st so come on down and support your favourite team!
