Support Our Troops This Christmas
Here at thebestofworthing we have teamed up with NCP who are working to help causes within the local community. This Christmas they will be supporting the ‘Support Our Troops’ scheme which is part of the Worthing Lions.
This parcel appeal has now started and the Worthing Lions hope that people will donate generously to produce over 200 packages full of treats and essentials for Worthing troops. All donations given will be going towards the local Princess of Wale’s Regiment who are currently in Afghanistan.
They are looking for people to donate any of the following items:
- Tic Tacs
- Pringles
- Pork Scratchings
- Jelly Snakes
- Haribo Sweets
- Peanuts
- Crackers
- Cakes
- Pot Noodles
- Peanut Butter
- Biscuits
- Mini Cheddars
- Toothpaste
- Toothbrushes
- Razors
- Shower Gel
- Pencils and Biros to give to the local children.
If you would like to donate anything from £1 to £10 then the drop box for these items can be found at the NCP High Street Car Park at the control room exit. Please bring along whatever you can whether it is from your cupboards or an extra item you picked up whilst shopping, everything helps to give our Troops a better Christmas!
