Here at thebestofworthing we have been on a hunt to find the best local events and activities so that whether the sun is shining or the English summer rain hits there will always be something to keep you and the little ones entertained...

Impulse Leisure’s Summer Holiday Activities - For juniors of 5 to 16 years, getting fit, healthy and active is a heap of fun at Impulse Leisure this summer!

Worthing Fire Station Open Day – Worthing Fire Station will open its doors for this annual open day. Pop along to see behind the scenes of the fire and rescue service and what their jobs entail.

Worthing Lions Festival Community Fun Day
31st July
Dragon Boat Racing Festival – from 10am until 4pm head down to Brooklands Pleasure Park, Lancing for the first ever dragon boat festival in aid of WADARS. It is a great day out for all the family!
3rd August
Worthing Playday – Broadwater Green will play host to a fun filled day of water slides, activities, stalls, juggling, tug of war and much much more. There will also be an appearance from Worthing Town Football Club, Worthing Thunder Basketball Team and Worthing Panthers Cheerleading Group who will be holding activities for you to take part in.
10th August
Caterpillar Music Classes - These FREE themed music events will take place at Impulse Leisure, Lancing Manor. Each session lasts 40 minutes with two times available 10am for 0-2 years and 11am for 2 to 5 years.
13th-14th August
Worthing Birdman - The International Worthing Birdman event comes to Worthing Pier for its tenth successive year. Take a seat on the beach and enjoy this fantastic flying competition for FREE. Watch teams launch themselves from the end of the pier to try and reach the furthest flight of 100 metres to win the £10,000 prize!
13th August - 28th August
Bowls Championships - Worthing will once again host the National Bowls Championship. Set at the stunning Beach House Park the championships will be set over two weeks, with stalls, activities and refreshments available for all the family to enjoy.
20th and 21st
RAFA Shoreham Airshow - Held at Shoreham Airport this is one of the premier family airshows in the UK. On the ground there will be arena displays, classic cars and trade stalls but the main event will take to the air around 11am until 4:30pm with aerobatic and emotive historic aircraft displays.
25th August
High School Mania – Pavilion Theatre - Enjoy all the hits from High School Musical 1, 2 and 3! Tickets are only £10
25th to 27th August
The Jungle Book – Worthing Connaught Theatre - Over 100 local children auditioned to take part in The Jungle Book. This Rudyard Kipling tale will be brought to life with a musical adaption. Tickets are only £12 per adult, £10 per child or £35 for a family of four.
30th August
The Mr Men and Little Miss Party Road Show – Pavilion Theatre - Celebrating 40 years of Mr Men and Little Miss this 90 minutes of fun will bring the characters to life with song and dance. Tickets are £13 per adult, £11 per child or £44 for a family of four.
4th September
Love Your Hospitals Superhero Fun Run - A great day of fundraising for all of the family. Come and take part in this sponsored walk and raise money to support Worthing Hospital. Make sure you put on your best superhero costume, or come dressed as you are (we are all superheroes at heart!)
