Ok, so you provide the best service in town and you serve at a very reasonable price. You've got a whole host of regular customers who love what you do for them. How do you know this? Because they are always telling you how great you are! How many times have you heard "Mmm that cheesecake was delicious!" or "After the treatment I felt 10 years younger!" or any other such remark at your business? I'm guessing it happens a fair bit.

Obviously its great to be getting this kind of feedback. But what do you do with it? When people say great things about you - how do you spread the word?

The good news is that you don't have to spend alot of money to get people talking about your business more. There are some very simple and effective ways that you can encourage your customers to begin spreading the word - and they won't break the bank.

To start with, never assume that your customers will refer you to their friends and colleagues. There are many reasons why people recommend - by far the most common reason is when they are encouraged to do so by you. Why not run a special offer - perhaps a discount for the customer on their next bill if they recommend 3 friends?

Always remember that you have to make it easy for your customers. Make sure that they have copies of your business cards and leaflets (have you still got half a box of leaflets left sitting there in your office just waiting to be used? What are you waiting for?) so that they've got your contact details to hand.

Put simply, a few simple techniques and a little attention on driving word of mouth will bring great benefits to your business. I can't recommend it highly enough!
