Mum's the Word in Brighton
Spofforths, a trusted firm of chartered accountants and professional advisers in Sussex, is showing its support for mums in business. After the success of the business mums conference in Brighton last year, the forward-thinking experts are now sponsoring the BusinessMums Summit 2011, the largest and highest profile event for the ‘mumpreneur’ community. The summit, involving a number of well-known female speakers, will be held at the Thistle Hotel in Brighton on Monday 10th October. It is being held for mums who are keen to launch their own enterprises, those already running new start-ups, directors of highly successful global enterprises and everything in between.
As sponsors, Spofforths are reaching out to mumpreneurs and highlighting the range of services that the firm can provide to help them meet their business goals. Spofforths is keen to raise awareness about this event which has already attracted top speakers including ITV presenter Kate Garraway and Laura Tenison of JoJoMamanBebe. The professionals understand how much pressure business mums face and are positive that the summit will benefit attendees.
Event organiser Nicky Chisholm said, “We’re delighted that Spofforths are sponsoring the summit for the second year running. The firm offers so many fantastic services that are relevant to mums in business today. This year’s event will embrace the ‘BEST’ ethos… Businessmums Excel, Succeed and Triumph. Following last year’s conference we have heard so many positive stories from business owners who have generated new business and moved their enterprises to the next level. The BusinessMums event for 2011 is going to be even better.”
Alison Jones, a Spofforths partner based at the firm’s Brighton office, added: “This is sure to be another fantastic event and it is set to attract around 300 hundred women. Many mums who have businesses opt to continue working after having children and they are inspirational. At Spofforths we are here to help advise women who are working mothers on various aspects of their finances and we can even provide a complete business support service. We work with many mumpreneurs who have successful businesses and also enjoy a good work - life balance.”
