Spofforths Chartered Accountants named as sponsors of the Bowls England Men’s Champion of Champions
Bowls England is delighted to announce that Spofforths Chartered Accountants is to continue its support of the Men’s National Champion of Champions competition. The event, held at Beach House Park in Worthing, is set to attract thousands of entrants from across England. This summer spectators will enjoy the final stages on Thursday 18th and Friday 19th August 2011.
Following on from the success of last year’s event, partners at Spofforths Worthing office decided to sponsor the competition to demonstrate the firm’s on-going commitment to the sport. The professionals understand the importance of sport in the community.
Tony Allcock MBE, Bowls England Chief Executive, said: “We are delighted that Spofforths Chartered Accountants has agreed to continue to sponsor the Men’s Champion of Champions competition and thank them for their support. We have developed a close working relationship with the Spofforths team.”
Peter Hussey, Spofforths Staff Partner, added: “We are delighted to support this competition for the second year running. Building on last year’s event, the championship is sure to be very exciting with some great competitors from across Sussex and beyond. It’s a particularly important event for town as it attracts visitors, young and old.
The event, won last season by David Scott from Cavaliers BC in Nottinghamshire, is sure to provide some great entertainment. At the end of the competition, Spofforths will make a special presentation to the overall Men’s Champion of Champions.
