Sussex Accountants Offer Free Wealth Management Advice

Spofforths, the Sussex based firm of chartered accountants and tax advisers, is hosting a free wealth management seminar on Wednesday 12th October 2011. Speakers from the firm will present in the Court Room at Christ’s Hospital School, West Sussex, from 4.30pm. The advisers will discuss a variety of ways you can stay in control of your money, ensuring you and your loved ones have financial security. They will go on to explain the importance of planning ahead so that your wealth is passed on as you wish. Guests will also find out how they can increase the value retained by future generations.

The Spofforths team is particularly unique as it brings together a variety of professionals who can advise on all aspects of wealth management. Those who attend the seminar will be able to gain sound advice from the speakers who are experienced in both tax consultancy and financial planning. Additionally, the firm is also able to provide advice on wills, trusts, probate and power of attorney. Following the presentations guests will be able to meet the experts and ask questions about the topics discussed.

Bryan Elkins, who heads up Spofforths wealth management team, will chair the seminar and he commented: “If you don’t have a wealth management plan in place or you simply need some advice about protecting your money for future generations, I recommend that you join us. The seminar will explore the issues surrounding wealth management, ensuring that you have sufficient income and assets to live comfortably, whilst minimising the tax to be suffered by you and your family.

“With the use of a case study, experts from our tax consultancy, financial planning and private client departments will identify planning opportunities that might be available to you and your family, to increase the value that is retained by future generations, and highlight the pitfalls you need to avoid. I hope that the seminar will be thought provoking and provide you with an overview of the possibilities available to ensure your assets continue to be enjoyed by your family in the way in which you intend.”

Guest speaker Janet Ormerod, from Sussex Community Foundation, will explain why a wide range of people and organisations choose the Foundation as a vehicle for their local charitable giving. The Foundation can advise on local giving and acts as a link between donors and local needs. Their unique selling point is that they actively target small groups, mostly run by volunteers, doing valuable work in the local community.
