The partnership provides meaningful and quality cricket provision all over Sussex. With specific emphasis on young leaders, further education colleges and universities; this community programme offers valuable opportunities in terms of volunteering, training and employment across many fields that are sport related and beyond.

Santander Corporate Banking are also supporting Sussex Women’s and Girl’s Cricket and will be presenting the Sussex Women’s and Girl’s Player of the Month award over the course of the season.

Sussex Cricket Chief Executive Dave Brooks said “Without the support of our Community partners our programmes would not be anything like as wide reaching. Santander Corporate Banking are a very welcome addition and we are particularly delighted that their funding will enable us to design specific activity for the 14 to 21 age group, as well as dedicated young women and girls programmes. We hope that this will be the start of a long standing relationship which will offer many opportunities for the Club, Santander and the people of Sussex to benefit.”

Mark Collings Business Development Director of Santander Corporate Banking added, “Santander Corporate Banking are delighted to be supporting Sussex County Cricket Club with the development of Young Leaders in the local Community, Schools and Universities. Our commitment to supporting the local community is a key part of how we operate and we are extremely excited about our partnership with the Club in the future.”

Sussex CCC run award winning health, education and inclusion projects county-wide, which has contributed to a constant rise in cricket related participation for the last seven years.
