Rant Worthing Press Release

'Ceilidh' is Gaelic for 'party' and involves lots of fabulous dancing, socialising, laughing and drinking.

Brighton Ceilidh Collective are an experienced and vibrant ceilidh band based in East Sussex. We produce our own ceilidh events in and around Sussex called Rants. Rants are unlike any ceilidh you've been to before.

They're not about being perfect or conforming to traditions, they're all about 'ceilidh attitude'!

'Ceilidh attitude' is vivacious, high energy and care free. It's not worrying about getting the dance steps right, but instead offering you the freedom to throw yourself headlong into the party no matter how many left feet you may have.

Our talented musicians play a mix of fabulous music from Scotland, England, Ireland and Wales as well as awesome tunes from much further afield. Instruments include accordion, mandolin, banjo, fiddle, bagpipes, percussion and guitar.

Ceilidhs are such social occasions, it's no problem to arrive on your own as everybody dances with

everybody else as a matter of course. You'll find that your feet will hardly touch the ground all evening.

Our dance caller clearly explains all the moves before each dance and then guides you through the steps

with her unique blend of enthusiasm and good humour. The band get thoroughly involved in proceedings tooand it's always clear that they're having the best of times along with our dancers.

The Rant is 8pm – 11pm (doors at 7.45pm). Tickets are £10 in advance or £15 on the door.

We love chatting about all things ceilidh, so if you've got any questions, please get in touch!

Here's what people have said about our Rants!
