Put On Your Best Face - Beauty Review - Sussex Local

"I had read that the OXYjet facial is ‘The great celebrity secret’ and that it can ‘smooth lines without cosmetic surgery’ so I was keen to give it a go. The glamorous La Belle Beauty Boutique, just along from the Aquarena in Worthing, recently celebrated its first birthday. To mark the first successful year they have invested in the latest ‘OXYjet’ equipment enabling them to offer this new and very popular treatment to their clients.

The first part of the treatment was a thorough cleanse. After applying the OXYclear lotion, my therapist Sonia used a rotating foam head with blue light, which has antibacterial and calming properties, to deeply cleanse the skin. Next, scientific active ingredients were applied to my face and neck. Then comes the interesting part...the treatment uses pure oxygen ‘pulsed’ into the face to reach the deepest layers of the skin. To do this Sonia used a handheld device attached to the OXYjet machine. As the device was passed over my face and neck it ’pressure injected’ the oxygen. It was an unusual but perfectly pleasant experience and I felt very ‘A-list’ as Sonia explained how the oxygen penetrates the muscles and boosts the collagen within the skin to fill lines and wrinkles.

A smaller oxygen pulsing device was used around my eyes and lips after which a face mask was applied. While I relaxed and let the mask do its thing, Sonia placed an oxygen mask over my nose and mouth so I could breath in pure oxygen which had an uplifting grapefruit aroma. A indulgent neck and shoulder massage was an added bonus and the treatment concluded with a final application of rich moisturiser.

After the treatment, my skin looked luminous (if a little shiny with all the lotion!) and my smile lines certainly seemed less noticeable. Overall it was a very relaxing and enjoyable 85 minutes and I left feeling like a genuine celebrity!"
