The ever-popular literary performance group, Worthing Wordies will be making a welcome return to the Ardington Hotel on Sunday June 14th. Their latest show, Famous in Fiction promises a nostalgic romp through the world of books, presenting a host of never-to-be-forgotten characters – from the heroic to the villainous, and from the cute and cuddly to the downright scary.
This exciting programme of staged readings begins at 6pm, to be followed by a sumptuous two-course dinner at the Ardington’s Indigo Restaurant.
“When we’re choosing items for performance we like to mix things up a bit,” says Wordies co-founder Gill Medway. “We’re never too highbrow, as we know our audiences love to laugh – so we’re presenting a highly eclectic brew of funny, poignant and utterly charming. We know you’re going to renew acquaintance with a character you’ve always loved.”
